The noble art of Bikepacking, is really what you’d think it would be. Sling everything you’d need for a night (or more) away in a rucksack or bike/frame bag, and ride off into the distance.
A typical trip would consist of at least one night, camping out, and more of the route off road than on road.
My standard set up is my gravel bike, on a route that takes me into or through remote places. In my frame mounted bags, I carry my camping kit, and a few scant luxuries, which you can check out on the Bikepacking Gear page.
My set up is geared towards being as self sufficient as possible, but making sure that the route or destination includes some basic comforts. Either a shop/pub/cafe for resupply, and the routes included here have a campsite as the overnight stop, rather than displaying wild camping spots, or encouraging stops where the landowner might be unhappy/pissed off/hostile.
